Pinpoint Oxford
Fabric — one of 56 in the glossary
An oxford woven from finer yarns at a higher thread count than a standard oxford, giving a smoother, tighter and dressier cloth. It keeps the basketweave structure but the pattern is small enough to read as texture rather than as a visible check. It sits between a rough oxford and a formal broadcloth, which is why it is the usual choice for a corporate shirt that has to look smart but survive daily wear. The fine, flat surface holds small embroidery detail well, so it is a safe blank for a logo with thin lettering.
