Artwork described as shapes and curves rather than pixels, so it can be scaled to any size with edges that stay perfectly sharp. The preferred format for logos, lettering and any flat-colour design, and effectively required for cut vinyl and for separating spot colours. Usually supplied as AI, EPS, SVG or a vector PDF. The counterpart is raster art, which cannot be enlarged the same way.
