Raster Art

Print method — one of 28 in the glossary

Artwork made of a fixed grid of pixels, which loses definition when enlarged beyond the resolution it was created at. The counterpart to vector art, and necessary for photographs and painted artwork, and fine for printing provided it is supplied at print resolution at the size it will actually appear. A low-resolution file pulled from a web page will look exactly as rough on fabric as it does on screen.
