Compression Straps
Garment — one of 28 in the glossary
Adjustable webbing straps on a bag that cinch the contents down so the load stays still and the pack sits closer to the body. They also shrink the bag's profile when it is only part full, which is why duffels and backpacks list them as a feature. The name is frequently mistyped as "comprehension straps" in supplier data, including in ours. For decorators they are a placement constraint: straps and their anchor points cross the panel where a logo would naturally sit, so check where the hardware falls before quoting an embroidery position.
