Sheeting

A plain-weave cotton fabric with roughly equal yarn counts in warp and filling, giving a balanced, even cloth — the construction used for bed linen, which is where the name comes from. In apparel it appears in aprons, tote bags, light jackets and shirting. It is inexpensive, stable and, because the weave is balanced and flat, an easy and predictable surface to print on. Weight varies widely, so check the ounce figure rather than assuming sheeting means lightweight.
