Etched Tone Buttons
Construction — one of 70 in the glossary
Horn-tone resin buttons with a pattern cut or moulded into the face, usually a ring of fine lines around the rim. The etching catches the light and makes a plain button read as a deliberate detail, which is why it appears on better-finished woven shirts. It is purely decorative and has no effect on durability. Like every button it is a hard raised object and must be kept out from under a heat press platen.
