A back panel cut longer than the front so the shirt stays tucked in, or covers more when worn out. It is standard on work shirts and uniform polos, where a shirt riding out of a waistband looks careless, and it appears on fashion tees under the name drop tail. The uneven hem changes nothing about a chest print but does matter for hem-level decoration and for how the garment is laid on a platen, since squaring it to the bottom edge will leave the design crooked on the body.
Built to stay tucked
An extended tail is a back panel cut longer than the front. On a work shirt or uniform polo the reason is functional: reaching forward pulls a shirt out of the waistband from the back first.
Extra length there keeps it tucked through a shift, which is why it is standard on anything worn by people who move at work.

What it means on a platen
The hem is not level, so squaring the garment to the bottom edge puts the design crooked on the body.
Square to the shoulders instead, and position from the shoulder seam rather than measuring up from the hem.
Chest prints are otherwise unaffected. This is a loading and placement consideration rather than a design one.
