American Apparel 2001W Size Chart

American Apparel has discontinued this style. We still hold stock and the measurements below remain accurate for it, but it will not be restocked indefinitely — worth knowing before you build a repeating order on it.

Fine Jersey Unisex T-Shirt. American Apparel publishes one table for this style — the garment itself, laid flat. Some brands also publish a body chart saying which chest a size is meant to fit; this sheet does not, so neither does this page.

Body measurements

The person, not the shirt. Chest is measured all the way around the fullest part with the tape horizontal.

SizeChest
XS35" – 36"
S37" – 38"
M39" – 40"
L41" – 42"
XL43" – 44"
2XL45" – 46"
Chest
Measure under the arm and around the fullest part of the chest with arms down, keeping the tape horizontal.

What the numbers mean in practice

American Apparel publishes only a to-fit chest chart for this style. There are no garment measurements on the sheet at all — no body length, no chest laid flat — so this page shows what the brand publishes and nothing more.

That also means this style cannot appear in the cross-brand comparison on the size charts page, which compares shirts laid flat. It is excluded deliberately rather than quietly missing.

The brand has discontinued it. We still stock it, and the fit information here remains accurate for what is in the warehouse, but it will not be reordered indefinitely.

The separate 2001, which we also stock, does publish garment measurements — see the American Apparel 2001 chart for those.

The 39 colours we stock

Common questions

What size chest does an American Apparel 2001W fit?
The brand's chart gives 35 to 36 inches at XS, rising in two-inch steps to 45 to 46 at 2XL. That is a body measurement — the person, not the shirt laid flat.
Why are there no garment measurements for the 2001W?
Because American Apparel does not publish any for this style. Its spec sheet carries a to-fit chest chart only, so this page does not invent the rest.
What is the difference between the 2001 and the 2001W?
They are separate items. The 2001 is the USA-made Fine Jersey tee and its sheet publishes full garment measurements; the 2001W publishes only a to-fit chest chart. Both are in our catalogue.
Is the American Apparel 2001W discontinued?
The brand has discontinued it — its own spec sheet is headed DISCONTINUED. We still hold stock, but it will not be available indefinitely.
