Sculpted Hem

A hem cut in a curve rather than straight across, dipping lower at the sides or the back. It is designed to be worn untucked: the curve follows the body, so the garment hangs cleanly instead of cutting a hard line across the hip. It is common on women's tops and on longline and drop-tail tees. The curve matters for decorating only at the bottom of the garment, where a hem print has less consistent clearance than on a straight hem, so measure from the shoulder rather than the hem when setting placement.
