Patch Pocket

A pocket made by stitching a separate piece of fabric onto the outside of a garment, as opposed to a pocket set into a seam or slit. It is the simplest and cheapest pocket to make and the one on the chest of a pocket tee, the front of an apron and the hip of a work shirt. For a decorator it is an obstacle and an opportunity: it blocks the left-chest position where a logo usually goes, but the pocket itself can be embroidered, and on pocket tees the print is normally moved to the opposite side.
