Clean-Finished Placket
Treatment — one of 37 in the glossary
Typically, the interfaces of the placket are raw or angular, meaning they can look ragged or uneven, especially on light-colored shirts. By cutting the interface into a rectangle, turning the edges under and fusing in place, a straight button strip without raw edges is created. The inside of the shirt only shows the smooth edge.
